This was weird. I was almost run over by a deer today! I watched it in the field when I did my lunchrun and suddenly it came running towards me. When I moved a little to get my phone to film this strange behaviour (it looked like a dog running to people to get some hugs) it realised there was somebody in it's way. I was too late to film this crazy move but it was standing still for a moment and then took a sprint the other way.
But the run. It went okish... Still not 100% recoverd of the c*bitch. My pace is rubish as is my heartrate. But in the end I am glad I am able to run. #recovery #omydeer #runandrearun *

MEDAL MONDAY
I am beyond happy with the races and results of this weekend.

🟢 22,5 km - D+ 1119 - time 4.09.03 - 5th place
🔵 10,2 km - D+ 472 - time 1.44.57 - 4th place
🔴 5,2 km - D+ 168 - time 1.06.12 - funrun

Another Trifectaweekend for in the books with my beloved Spartanfamily in the beautiful surroundings of Wales. The best thing was the cabin @melissanauta and I rented right at the venue, so we didn't have to travel during this weekend. The next best thing was my Achilles, which did incredibly well in the hills, on the muddy and slippery paths and in the fields. Seems like it's getting slightly better. Hopefully I can increase my runningpace soon. In four weeks the next raceweekend will take place in Midlands. There I need to collect more points for the final results of the UK Regional Series and see if I can earn an overall podiumspot. Day two, race three. This amazing Trifectaweekend ended with the Sprint. We decided to go for a funrun, take the telephone with us and have the best out of the last clicks this weekend. The legs felt ok, the Achilles a little less. But man what a race! We had so much fun with the other racers, making pictures and getting off the course to do some extra obstacles. With this Sprint I ended my third Trifectaweekend in about 6 weeks... Now it's time to sit back and relax. For a day... Already feel like I need more racing and traveling in my life 😁 #spartanwales #spartanraceuk #runandrearun *
